2.1How you ask is what you take. What is asked decides what is seen, and what is seen decides what is. (cf. Gospel of Plato 1.22)
2.2Ask it whether it is ripple, and it is ripple; ask it whether it is sand, and it is sand. (cf. Gospel of Plato 1.21)
2.3Therefore: each man has hold of one part of the elephant. The one at the leg says it is a pillar; the one at the ear says it is a fan. Neither has lied, and neither has described an elephant.
2.4Therefore: before disputing an answer, ask first which question it came out of.
2.5Therefore: to change the question is not to give ground. It is to put your hand somewhere else and feel again.
