1.1In the days of Athenian pride, Socrates stood like a giant of truth.

1.2His name was great. Not because he flattered the crowd.

1.3It was because his logic broke the shackles of false knowledge.

1.4Thousands followed him only to watch him take apart the arrogance of sophists and politicians.

1.5His standing became a fortress of the mind that could not be breached.

1.6This terrified the grasping men of rank.

1.7They whispered in the dark:

1.8"If this man is left to go on opening the people's eyes, our thrones will turn to dust."

1.9They were right. It is the one true thing they said in their lives.
